Company History
CheckFlix was founded in 2004 to address the needs of the fiercely competitive, fast-growing DVD and game market that is troubled by economic loss and poor customer experiences due to damaged discs. This damage had been an accepted, but unwanted, consequence of renting and exchanging discs. The partial solutions to this problem available in the marketplace were too slow and inaccurate.

CheckFlix uses technology adopted from the aerospace and semiconductor industries to accurately measure surface defects on the disc. This patent-pending and proprietary technology allows the certifier to accurately and reliably measure the complete surface of a disc in less than five seconds.
